As part of its commitment to strengthening scientific partnerships that serve the community, a delegation from the Al-Zahraa Center for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research at Al-Zahraa University for Women (Peace Be Upon Her) paid an official visit to the General Directorate for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Baghdad to explore prospects for joint cooperation in research and scientific fields.

 

The university delegation was represented by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Zuheir Mohammed Ali Jadoa, accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Al-Ashiqar, Public Relations Officer and Researcher at the Center. During the visit, the delegation met with the Director General of the Directorate, Lieutenant General (Legal) Ahmed Saleh Al-Zargani, along with a number of the Directorate's officers and personnel.

 

The university delegation affirmed the Center's readiness to employ its scientific and research capabilities in conducting specialized studies, providing expert consultations, and promoting knowledge exchange through seminars, workshops, and awareness programs. These initiatives aim to strengthen joint efforts in preventing drug abuse and raising public awareness among various segments of society.

 

For his part, the Director General praised the university and its research center for their distinguished scientific role, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with academic institutions in developing evidence-based solutions that support national efforts to combat narcotics and mitigate their social impact.

 

This visit reflects Al-Zahraa University for Women’s (Peace Be Upon Her) ongoing commitment to expanding its partnerships with state institutions and reinforcing the role of scientific research as an effective tool for addressing national challenges and providing research-driven initiatives that support the work of specialized governmental bodies.
