The College of Education / Department of Arabic Language at Al-Zahraa University for Women, in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education, organized a training course entitled “Improving Arabic Calligraphy with a Regular Pen”.
The course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Hameed Yaqoub Naeema and lasted for three days, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at Al-Kawthar Hall for Continuing Education.
The course included an introduction to the stages of preparing the pen and the different types of Arabic scripts, each of which has its own rules. It also covered Ruqa‘a script and its principles, as it is the most commonly used script in daily writing, in addition to practical exercises applying the theoretical lessons.
