Additionally, her presentation emphasised the importance of promoting students’ mental well-being, highlighting the underlying causes of suicidal ideation and strategies for its prevention. It also underscored the vital role of psychological and social support in helping individuals navigate and overcome crises.
The seminar further aimed to raise awareness of the importance of seeking help and encouraged individuals not to hesitate in consulting qualified professionals. Furthermore, it stressed the necessity of fostering a supportive University environment capable of accommodating female students’ needs and providing appropriate guidance.
It bears noting that this seminar comes as part and parcel of a broader series of awareness-raising initiatives undertaken by the University to enhance female students’ psychological and social awareness, and to reinforce the principles of support and guidance within the University academic environment. Besides, such efforts contribute to the development of a well-informed and resilient generation capable of confronting challenges and maintaining psychological balance.
