As part of its efforts to develop its administrative and academic systems and strengthen its engagement with reputable professional institutions, Al-Zahraa University signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Iraqi Association for Information and Communications Technology, headed by Dr. Eng. Ali Nasser Al-Khuwailidi, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani. This step reflects the University’s orientation toward building high-quality partnerships and reinforcing integration between academic and professional pathways.
The agreement, organized by the Department of Science and Technology Parks, aims to launch a package of joint training and development programs that support the activities of the Continuing Education Center and enhance its capacity to deliver high-quality programs aligned with labor market needs. It also contributes to developing the University’s financial resources through the investment of its academic and training capabilities.
For her part, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla, emphasized that such partnerships represent a fundamental pillar in developing the University’s digital systems in line with global standards. She noted that specialized courses and advanced workshops target a wide range of participants, including employees from both the public and private sectors, as well as university students and graduates, thereby contributing to the development of their skills and enhancing their professional and academic competencies in alignment with the demands of digital transformation and rapid technological advancement.
The launch of the first joint workshop between the Department of Science and Technology Parks / Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Division, and the Iraqi Association witnessed the participation of students from the Faculty of Excellence at the University of Baghdad and students of Al-Zahraa University. The workshop, titled “Economics of Mobile Networks”, was delivered by Dr. Eng. Ali Nasser Al-Khuwailidi, who highlighted the economic dimensions of the telecommunications sector and its impact on supporting the gross domestic product.
This collaboration is expected to expand the scope of training services provided by the University, attract broader segments of society, and further strengthen its academic and professional presence at both local and national levels, reinforcing its position as a leading educational institution supporting comprehensive development pathways.
