The main message of the Department of Campus Dormitory Affairs is to create the appropriate atmosphere for the students to create an alternative home for them to reduce the difficulties of the students living far away from their city, as well as to provide an appropriate atmosphere to devote themselves to study and excel.

Vision of the department

The Department of Campus Dormitory Affairs / Al-Zahraa University is one of the distinguished Dormitories in Iraq, as the Dormitories seek to make the student housing complexes inside the university a model to be followed by other universities.

Objectives of the department

  • The Dormitoriy Department Affairs seeks to provide an appropriate psychological and scientific atmosphere for its students.
  •  Preparing the appropriate administrative employees necessary for its management.
  •  Helping the students to overcome their problems through direct (with the student) and indirect (through lectures) counseling through cooperation with the Psychological and Educational Counseling Unit.
  • Paying attention to the activities of the students and to encouraging them to continue creativity and innovation.
  •  Providing adequate housing with modern international specifications.
  • Building the students’ personality through coexistence with their colleagues despite their different personalities, to encourage learning and exchanging opinions and decisions.
  •  Committees of female students in the housing complexes are formed to find out their proposals for activities as well as their needs so that they can be worked on and developed.

  • Reviving religious rituals and national occasions by the students in cooperation with all university departments that need them.
  •  Student participation in local and international competitions.
  • Running competitions and promotional programs for students.
  • Recreate recreational outings for the students to promote them.

The internal department’s installments are 1 million Iraqi dinars and are paid in two installments. The beginning of the first course is 500 thousand dinars and the beginning of the second course is 500 thousand dinars.

Are the internal department housing buildings located inside or outside the university?

There are housing buildings for female students inside the university, and there are also housing buildings outside the university that are very close to the university.

What does the internal department building consist of?

The housing buildings within the university are three buildings, two of which consist of four floors on the room system (each room accommodates three female students). Each floor also has a kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms. As for the third building, which consists of three floors, it is on the apartment system on each floor. It contains six apartments, and each apartment contains two rooms, a large room that can accommodate five female students, a small room that can accommodate four female students, a kitchen, and a bathroom.

There is a prayer hall for female students and a study hall.

As for the residential building outside the university, it consists of four floors, and each floor contains rooms, a kitchen, and the bathroom is inside the room and a study hall.

What services do the internal departments provide?

There are many services that are provided in the internal departments, including continuous electricity 24 hours a day, free internet, with the presence of female service employees, as well as continuous maintenance and tight guarding at the internal department gates, as well as the presence of a social researcher to solve the problems of female students that may occur in the department, and the presence of a special administrative staff to follow up on administrative affairs. There is supervisory staff with a shift system (morning, evening, night) to maintain order in the internal departments and follow up on the exit and entry of female students, and the presence of civil defense and ambulance staff ready for any emergency (God forbid).
