Duties and Capacities of the Office of the Scientific Assistant

 – Supervises scientific affairs at the university (faculties - departments - scientific branches) and expresses opinion on them to the university President.

– Supervises scientific activities (conferences, seminars, training courses) and takes the relevant necessary measures.

- Prepares research and study plans for faculties, departments and branches and submits them to the university President for approval and follows up on their implementation periodically.

- Informs the university President about the progress of academic affairs on a regular basis and submits relevant reports.

– Prepares scientific studies to establish faculties, departments, or branches and submits them to the President of the university.

– Expresses opinion on sabbaticals and recommends sending teaching staff members to the university President.

- Follows up on scientific affairs related to female students, such as festivals, celebrations, and scientific competitions.

 – Recommends to the university President bestow letters of thanks according to distinguished academic achievements.

 – Recommends to the President scientific agreements, memoranda of understanding, and twinning inside and outside Iraq.

 – Represents the university in scientific forums.

 - Follows up on progress of female teaching tutors in faculties, departments and scientific branches and takes pertinent necessary measures

- Approves to host female students from the evening study for the morning study.

- Signs university directives based on the approval of the President pertaining to the transfer and hosting female students between Iraqi universities and according to the applicable regulations.

– Signs participation approvals in courses, workshops and seminars issued by the Center for Continuous Education.

 – Signs the authentication of student documents.

– Any other tasks delegated by the President.

First: Office of the Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs (the office is responsible for managing and receiving mail, following up on issued correspondence, coordinating with faculties and departments affiliated with the office, printing correspondence and studies, and directing them to all university departments)
