In the presence of Prof. Dr. Zuhair Muhammad Ali Jadu, Assistant to President of Al-Zahraa University for women, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Shia, Chairman of Education Faculties Deans Committee, Prof. Dr. Haider Hatem, President of the National Council for the Accreditation of the Programs of the faculties of the Education Group in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahia, Dean of Education Faculty at Al-Zahraa University, Prof. Dr. Hamida Aidan, Dean of the Faculty of Pure Sciences Education at the University of Karbala, and numerous faculty deans and heads of education departments at Iraqi universities. The university hosted the training session on the preparation of the national resident and national standards guide application mechanisms for the accreditation programs of the education faculties group at Iraqi universities, which was organized by the National Council for Accreditation of Programs of education faculties in Iraq on Sunday, 21/4/2023 at the central conference hall.
The session consisted of several lectures, including a lecture by Prof. Dr. Haider Hatem, in which he dealt with the program accreditation and the mechanisms of its application in public and private universities, explaining general concepts and terms, in addition to national standards for accrediting the programs of education faculties as well as the organizational steps to obtain accreditation for the academic program.
In her statement, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Al-Zahraa University for women stressed the need to improve the application of institutional accreditation standards in order to obtain the best results sought by the Faculty of Education at Al-Zahraa University for women, as well as a brief explanation of the most important achievements of the Faculty and its departments.
The session concluded with several recommendations, foremost among them was the evolution of accreditation councils into independent authorities that grant material and administrative independence and applies accreditation and quality to public and private faculties and universities, in addition to stressing the importance of relevant bulletin issuance to disseminate the culture of accreditation and quality.
