Under the aegis of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Al-Zahraa Centre for Medical and Pharmaceutical Research organized a seminar titled “Pharmacogenomics: A Revolution in Precision Medicine”, presented by Dr. Rehab Abdul-Mutalib.
The seminar introduced the concept of pharmacogenomics, highlighting its crucial role in shaping personalized healthcare and precision medicine in the future. In addition, it explained how genetic information could be utilized to identify the most effective medications for individuals, thereby minimizing adverse side effects for. This approach, according to the presenter, aimed to improve treatment outcomes and reduce health risks.
Moreover, key topics were discussed during the seminar which facilitated the exchange of ideas and expertise on the practical application of that advanced technology in the pharmaceutical field.
