As part of its endeavors to develop Faculty members' skills and foster the educational process, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, in cooperation with Continuous Education Center, organized a training course entitled “Teaching Methods towards Blended Learning”. The course was conducted under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty and thanks to direct support extended from the University President.
The course presented by Dr. Ahmed Yahya Awad. The presenter provided an in-depth explanation of the education concept and the reasons behind the shift from traditional to blended learning. He also highlighted the key challenges that may arise when implementing the approach, with special emphasize on the use of modern technological devices.
Moreover, the course covered such fundamental topics as the distinction between education and learning, the principles of appropriate teaching methods selection and the importance of active learning strategies application in the teaching process.
Additionally, the initiative reaffirmed the necessity for Faculty members to have a clear understanding of the educational process's objectives, ensuring that students acquire scientific skills while making the most of all available learning resources.
