Under the patronage of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) and the supervision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani,
the Department of Anesthesia Technology at the Faculty of Health and Medical Technology held a workshop entitled "Sustainable Development and its Social, Economic, and Environmental Dimensions." The workshop was presented by Dr. Nadia Nayef Hussein,the Dean's Scientific Assistant.

The workshop delved into the concept of sustainable development and its global goals, with special focus on the need to achieve a balance between economic development and environmental conservation to ensure the well-being of posterity. Moreover, light was also thrown during the event on such environmental challenges resulting from human activities as climate change, pollution, and the depletion of natural resources. The workshop also underscored the significance of the adoption and enhancement of sustainable strategies across various sectors, ultimately contributing to a healthy and sustainable future.
