Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, partook in the first Libyan Women's Summit, which concentrated on the role of leading women in the field of education in addition to securing all times continuity of teaching and learning. Furthermore, the summit highlighted means to prove women’s merit in the assumption of leadership positions, acting as a national role model to be followed in their country and society, practical fulfillment of their scientific and administrative mission and turning their experience to reality for the benefit of education and society.
Her Excellency Houria Al-Tarmal, Minister of State for Women's Affairs in the Interim Government of National Unity, welcomed the Arab delegations participating in the National Forum for Libyan Women. Among eminent attendees were Dr. Fadia Kiwan, President of the Arab Women Organization, President of the Association of Arab Universities along with representatives of the Ministries of Education in Palestine, Egypt, Syria and Iraq.
The latter was represented by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for women. The summit’s program included several themes as well as developmental workshops on the role of the governments in forwarding education reality and promoting women’s leadership role. It goes without saying that such international conferences have prime importance in the enrichment of the intellectual coexistence of academic and leading women, thus fostering and nurturing future generations.
