As part of its commitment to fostering openness and collaboration with local universities, as well as Arab and international institutions, Al-Zahraa University for Women signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement with the University of Diyala on Monday, December 9, 2024. This agreement was also reached in order to strengthen cooperation in academic, scientific, and research fields between the two parties. The agreement was concluded during a visit by a delegation led by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women. The membership of the delegation included Prof. Dr. Zuhair Muhammad Ali Jadou, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Noor Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the faculty of Pharmacy and Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Baheya, Dean of the faculty of Education. Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, President of the University of Diyala, along with his scientific and administrative assistants, welcomed Al-Zahraa University delegation. Both parties agreed to cooperate on scientific research, access their respective scientific laboratories and digital libraries. Moreover, the cooperation also envisioned hosting teaching staff members at conferences and scientific seminars, joint supervision of theses and dissertations in compliance with post graduate study regulations set by the Ministry. Additionally, the parties discussed the potential for signing twinning agreements between corresponding academic departments at both universities. The visit concluded with a tour of several faculties and departments at the University of Diyala. Both parties expressed their mutual hope for the effective implementation of the agreement with a view to contribute to the advancement of the educational process.
