Desirous to upgrade academic cooperation and develop curricula that keep pace with modern technological advancements, Al-Zahraa University for Women / Engineering Faculty has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Karbala University. The partnership is intended to bolster the national academic and educational process with a view to meet local and international requirement, through contemporary scientific and academic programs. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla, Dean of Engineering and Information Technology Faculty at Al-Zahraa University, and Prof. Dr. Haid Nadhim Al-Muhanna, Dean of the Engineering Faculty at the University of Karbala. The agreement outlined several objectives aimed at advancing scientific, academic, and professional capabilities for both universities in consonance with Ministerial instructions for higher education development in Iraq. The aspects of cooperation included such areas as joint research initiatives, holding scientific conferences and symposiums, seconding scientific discipline tutors to leverage expertise in specialized fields, carrying out and furthering joint research at the local and international levels in various academic and scientific fields that serve the community. It goes without saying that such partnership is meant to reinforce the academic and scientific collegiality between the two universities, fostering interdisciplinary cooperation to serve society and enhance education quality. It is significant to point out that Al-Zahraa University for Women stands among the pioneering institutions to keep step with global technological advancements by establishing a Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. Through such initiative, the University continues to support modern and secure digital infrastructure in Iraq, ensuring a meaningful contribution to key sectors nationwide.
