Al-Zahraa University for Women organized a visit to Al-Sibtain Academy for Autism and Developmental Disorders, a healthcare institution linked to Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. The said event was carried out to strengthen relationships and foster cooperation with institutions affiliated with the Holy Shrine.
The visit was coordinated by the University’s Student Activities Department in cooperation with its Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division along with its Continuous Education Department, under the supervision of Ms. Janan Abbas Al-Wazni, Head of Student Activities Department.
The initiative comprised two visits featuring such variety of activities as a lecture on the early detection of autism spectrum disorder presented by Dr. Nasreen Ali Al-Gailawi, Head of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department. Additionally, Dr. Al-Gailawi conducted an intelligence assessment session.
The visits also involved gifts distribution and emotional support extended to that category of Iraqi society. As for the recipient children, they expressed joy and happiness at the initiative.
