A teacher of the Department of English Language / Al-Zahraa University for Women, M.M. Rasha Ali Al-Obeidi, participated at the Third International Conference entitled: (Humanities and the Responsibility of Scientific Research), that held in Beirut from 6-8 on March/ 2023, where she presented research entitled: “Persuasive Strategies on Social Media”. The research included investigating the tools and strategies used by brand owners in order to market and influence consumers on social networking sites. She also dealt with a number of publications that were published on the Instagram account of the -famous French brand of the world “Cartier”. One of the most important conclusions that the study reached is that the act of informative speech is the most prominent among the verbal acts used in e-marketing. The emotional side, the polite positive strategy, and social evidence are among the most used tools.
