Anesthesia Technology Department within Health and Medical Technologies Faculty at Al-Zahraa University for Women has achieved a significant academic milestone, securing fourth place in 2024 Iraqi ranking of medical departments, as announced by Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In addition, this achievement crowns the ongoing efforts deployed by faculty administration and academic staff to bolster the quality of education and develop academic curricula in line with the latest global standards. Moreover, this success reflects the Department’s commitment to upgrade the skills of its female students to become highly competent and prepare them to enter the medical workforce as such.
It is noteworthy that Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, expressed pride in that accomplishment,
reaffirming the University’s commitment to nurturing academic innovation and scientific research. Besides, she emphasized the University’s dedication to supporting and improving medical education through its advanced learning environment.
Furthermore, the above-mentioned classification is regarded as one of the key indicators used by the Ministry to evaluate the academic and research performance of scientific departments across Iraqi universities. Additionally, through this success, the University aspires to strengthen its academic standing both locally and internationally and to continue its efforts in the provision of top-grade education that contributes to the elevation of the healthcare sector in Iraq.
