Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Qazzaz, Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Farah 'Amer 'Abbas, Head of the Department of Anaesthesia, and Dr. Nadia Nayef, Associate Dean, visited Zain Al-Abideen Hospital affiliated with Imam Hussein Holy Shrine on Wednesday, 16 August 2023. The visit aimed to review the progress of the summer training programme for female students of the Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies in the Departments of Radiology, Physical Therapy, and Anaesthesia. Additionally, the said event comes in pursuit of developing the practical experience of female students at Al-Zahraa University for Women.

The visit included supervising the female students’ performance in the Emergency, Operating Theatres, Radiology, and Physical and Hydrotherapy Departments.

In this regard, Asst. Prof. Dr. Al-Qazzaz stated that summer training helps female students develop their scientific and practical skills. It also aims to enable them to apply the theoretical concepts studied within their respective specialisations, familiarise them with the medical environment in the hospital, and prepare them for fieldwork. Furthermore, the training provides guidance on interacting with patients outside the University environment.
