Al-Zahraa University for Women organized a special reception to welcome new female students residing in the University dormitories. The event which coincided with the auspicious occasion of Sayed Al-Awsiya' Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH) birth anniversary, was attended by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, along with several faculty and administrative staff members.
The new female students, who joined the University this academic year, participated with enthusiasm in the reception, creating an atmosphere filled with hope and ambition. Additionally, the importance of such great an occasion, notably the birth of Imam Ali (PBUH), the incarnated symbol of wisdom and justice in Islamic history, was highlighted.
In her speech, Dr. Al-Sultani warmly welcomed the new female students, expressing her delight at their admission to Al-Zahraa University family. Furthermore, she managed to shed light on the quintessential values embodied by Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (PBUH) and the need to adhere thereto in both academic and personal life. She also reaffirmed the University’s mission to achieve educational and moral excellence while providing a supportive learning environment that nurtures female students’ aspirations.
Besides, a group of dormitory female staff members who have exerted exceptional efforts in serving female students were also honored during the reception. Their contributions in overcoming challenges and creating a safe and comfortable environment for dormitory residents were also acknowledged. Dr. Al-Sultani emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in fostering a healthy and productive academic atmosphere, offering female students the necessary support and guidance throughout their educational journey.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Al-Sultani expressed her pride in the honored female staff members, noting that their dedicated and tireless efforts were the foundation for the University’s educational success. Furthermore, she underscored the importance of recognizing such contributions, which ensure an ideal academic environment that extended support to the students in the attainment of continuous and future achievements.
