Under the aegis of Karbala Court of Appeal Presidency, Al-Zahraa University for Women participated in a specialized workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event centered on AI tools, mechanisms, as well as its application within the judicial system. The University’s participation highlighted its commitment to keeping pace with modern technological advancements.
The workshop was led by Prof. Harith Fadel, a lecturer at Al-Zahraa University, along with Prof. Dr. Hiba Jabbar, Head of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department in Engineering and Information Technology Faculty. Judge Ahmed Hadi, Karbala Court of Appeal President, along with a slew of his vice presidents, judges from criminal, misdemeanor, and investigative courts, as well as the Public Prosecutor attended the session.
The two lecturers managed to shed light on the significance of AI in ameliorating and supporting judicial efficiency, focusing on methods to integrate AI into the legal system. Furthermore, they also stressed the need for cooperation between courts and academic institutions in specialized research to bring about a modern judicial system in line with rapid technological advancements.
It bears to note that Al-Zahraa University for Women has been one of the leading universities that embraced technological development particularly in the significant strides it made to integrate cutting-edge technologies through the establishment of its Engineering and Information Technology Faculty.
