Al-Zahra University for women is not only an educational institute but a non-profit scientific development project, as it is introduced by the General Secretariat of the Al-Hussainia Holy Shrine vowing that faith and science are two basic sources to bring the individual to safety and security. This project was launched as an idea by His Excellency the former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa), and then the foundation was laid in the year 2018 by His Eminence, the legitimate guardian of the General Secretariat of the Husseiniya Holy Shrine (Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai) (may he honor last). ;with a holy intention that university academic education shall pave paths for the Holy Institution in bearing the responsibility for building the intellectual and moral systems of society, especially building them with women whom Almighty has endowed with the blessing of raising generations and the task of raising men of value , and in order to achieve the contents of the principles and values ​​embodied in the building of the humanistic mission, especially in the female Hussainiya mission.
