As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration between academic institutions and national security agencies, a delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by Assistant President for Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Jidou’, visited the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development. The delegation also included a representative of Al-Zahraa Center for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research and the Head of the Media and Government Communications Department.
The visit aimed to explore avenues for mutual cooperation in scientific research, knowledge exchange, and the organization of specialized training programs designed to support security and administrative development. Discussions also focused on supporting applied research projects in the medical and pharmaceutical fields that align with the needs of the security sector.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Zuhair Jidou’ emphasized the importance of building strong partnerships between universities and security institutions, highlighting how such collaborations link academic research with real-world applications and contribute to the university’s mission of serving society through impactful initiatives.
For his part, Maj. Gen. Haitham Abdul-Jabbar Zaidan, Director of the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development, praised the scientific contributions of Al-Zahraa Center for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research. He affirmed the Institute’s readiness to foster a collaborative environment through training programs, technical expertise exchange, and joint initiatives.
The delegation was given a tour to the Institute's advanced facilities and specialized equipment dedicated to security development. Both parties discussed practical mechanisms to implement joint programs such as scientific workshops, applied research projects, and capacity-building training sessions tailored for both academic and security personnel.
The visit concluded with an agreement to form a joint committee to oversee the implementation of the discussed initiatives and to draft a detailed memorandum of understanding outlining priorities and timelines for cooperation.
This visit reflects Al-Zahraa University’s strategic commitment to solidify its position as a leading academic institution dedicated to advancing scientific research and forging impactful partnerships with state institutions, in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at enhancing Iraq’s educational and professional development landscape.
