Eng. Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi Karbala Governor honored Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, as part of Karbala Day celebrations, which was organized by the governorate to recognize outstanding women contributing to the empowerment of women in society. It is noteworthy that the award was presented in appreciation of Dr. Al-Sultani’s efforts in advancing academia and supporting women in education and culture. Her active participation in both local and international forums dedicated to women's empowerment and their societal roles was also acknowledged. During the ceremony, Governor Al-Khattabi emphasized the vital role of female academics and leaders in promoting women's status. He commended Dr. Al-Sultani for her dedication to creating an inspiring educational environment for female students and for fostering a culture of research and academic excellence. In response, Dr. Al-Sultani expressed her gratitude for the recognition, stressing that supporting and encouraging women in all fields is a shared responsibility that requires collective efforts. She reaffirmed her commitment to continuing her work in enhancing women's roles in education and community service. Al-Zahraa University for Women is one of the educational institutions established by Imam Hussein Holy Shrine to support women and highlight their role in society. The University is dedicated to providing high-quality education and contributing to sectors that are fundamental to social and cultural development.
