As part of its commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy living environment for its students, Al-Zahraa University for Women has launched the establishment of a fully equipped First Aid Pharmacy located at the reception area of the university dormitories. This initiative aims to provide immediate healthcare support for emergency cases that may arise during the students’ stay, within the framework of the university’s annual plan to enhance healthcare services on campus.
The project was implemented under the direct supervision of the University Presidency and with the support of the Department of Dormitory Affairs. The pharmacy has been supplied with essential medical materials and first aid equipment, including sterilization tools, bandages, blood pressure and temperature monitors, as well as supplies for minor injuries and sudden health conditions.
Ms. Amira Abbas Al-Ameri, Assistant Lecturer and Director of Dormitory Affairs, affirmed that this project is part of the department’s annual plan to develop the health and service provisions for students. She also highlighted the ongoing cooperation with the Medical Services Unit to ensure full preparedness and rapid response when needed.
Through this initiative, Al-Zahraa University seeks to promote health awareness and spread first aid culture among students, in addition to improving the level of preventive services within the dormitory environment thereby ensuring students’ safety and fostering a more supportive and integrated university community.
