Under the auspicious of the esteemed President of Al-Zahraa University for Women and the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Education, the Department of English Language held a workshop entitled “Cognitive Grammar: Theory and Application”.
Additionally, Dr. Haider Hameed Al-Ankooshi, a specialist in modern cognitive linguistics, led the workshop, organized in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education. It further aimed to introduce and explain Cognitive Grammar, which represents one of the most significant approaches in cognitive linguistics. The lecture addressed the key components and distinctive features of Cognitive Grammar, as well as its applicability to literary texts within the framework of cognitive stylistics.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, along with a group of faculty members and female students.
