Al-Zahraa University received the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Iraq, Mr. Dedik Yako Bugianto, in an official visit aimed at viewing one of the most significant achievements of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, strengthening international academic collaboration, and gaining direct insight into the University’s distinguished accomplishments.

The Ambassador was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Jaddoa, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hasan Al-Qazzaz the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs. Additionally, they presented a detailed overview of the University’s vision, its academic programmes, and the modern scientific standards it adopts to equip female students with qualifications aligned with the needs of the labour market. Furthermore, the briefing also highlighted the key achievements realised by the University in recent years and its growing role as a leading institution for women’s higher education in Iraq.

The visit included a field tour of the University campus, during which the Ambassador inspected the Central Library, one of the University’s most significant knowledge hubs, along with the scientific laboratories equipped with advanced technologies and modern instruments. Besides, comprehensive explanations were provided regarding the practical programmes, training methodologies, and applied learning approaches adopted to support the quality of the educational process.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Indonesian Ambassador expressed his deep appreciation for the distinguished academic and organisational standards he observed at Al-Zahraa University. He further paid tribute to the notable institutional development and exemplary infrastructure, affirming that these foundations create strong prospects for expanding avenues of partnership, facilitating the exchange of expertise, and establishing joint scientific and cultural programmes.

It bears noting that this visit falls within the broader framework of enhancing international academic collaboration, offering opportunities for knowledge exchange and the development of joint scientific and cultural initiatives. In addition, it reflects the vital role of the University in building solid academic and international relations that support educational development, in line with the vision of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine to strengthen academic and cultural collaboration between Iraq and international institutions.
