In the presence of the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of the University of Information and Communications Technology, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, and under the supervision of the President of Al-Zahra University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, with direct follow-up by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaida Abd Al-Hussein, and with the participation of prominent academic and international figures, the University of Information and Communications Technology, in cooperation with Al-Zahra University, held the Ninth International Conference on Information and Communications Technology Applications under the theme:

“Modern Trends in Information and Communications Technology Applications”,

sponsored by the German publishing house Springer.

The conference comes within the framework of both universities’ commitment to promoting scientific research and exchanging specialized expertise in the field of information and communications technology, a field witnessing rapid developments that impact educational, industrial, and service sectors. The conference attracted distinguished international and academic contributions from various universities and research centers worldwide.

In her welcoming speech, the President of Al-Zahra University, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, emphasized the importance of the conference in highlighting the university’s leading role in hosting international scientific events, noting that the university has previously hosted several global conferences in diverse fields such as pharmacy, engineering, and modern health and medical technologies.
