The Centre for Specialised Studies on Imam Al-Mahdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance), in cooperation with Al-Zahraa University for Women organised a ceremony to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Imam of the Age, Imam Al-Mahdi Al-Muntazar (May Allah Almighty hasten his noble reappearance). The said event was attended by a distinguished group of academics, faculty members, and female students.
The programme commenced with an address delivered by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, in which she welcomed the blessed occasion marking the birth of the saviour of humanity. She further emphasised that this anniversary constitutes a fundamental starting point for promoting humanistic and faith-based values and for consolidating the concepts of justice and reform within societal consciousness. Additionally, she highlighted the importance of drawing upon the Mahdist’s thought in shaping an aware and responsible individual.
The event featured an intellectual lecture on Mahdist thought delivered by His Eminence Sayyid Mohammed Al-Qabanji, who explored the doctrinal and intellectual dimensions of the culture of anticipation (intidhar) and its role in building a society grounded in ethical values and righteous action. The lecture added a scholarly dimension to the occasion, reflecting its relevance and impact in contemporary life.
This ceremony was held within the framework of strengthening cultural and intellectual cooperation between academic and religious institutions, and in affirmation of their leading role in supporting purposeful activities that contribute to preserving intellectual identity and authentic Islamic values.
