Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in cooperation with the Electronic Computing Department and the Continuing Education Centre organised a specialised scientific workshop entitled “Electronic Signature”, delivered by Lect. Dr. Ali Abbas Al-Sabbagh.

The workshop aimed to highlight the concepts of electronic signatures and their importance in modern digital systems, in addition to presenting practical applications and advanced technologies used to ensure integrity and reliability in digital transactions. It also addressed the legal and regulatory frameworks governing electronic signatures and the mechanisms for their implementation in governmental and private institutions, thereby enhancing the efficiency of digital procedures and keeping pace with global developments in this field.

The organisation of this workshop forms part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen technical knowledge among female students and academic staff, develop their practical skills, and reinforce the integration of theoretical education with practical application, ultimately preparing specialised graduates equipped with the scientific and technical expertise required to meet contemporary academic advancements.
