The Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Women participated in the First International Scientific Conference of Deans of Faculties of Pharmacy in Iraq, held at Al-Mustansiriyah University in Baghdad.

The Faculty’s participation formed part of a joint academic platform that brought together governmental and private faculties of pharmacy, aiming to exchange academic expertise, develop pharmaceutical education in Iraq, and strengthen scientific cooperation between educational and industrial institutions.

The Faculty played an active role in the conference proceedings: Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, chaired one of the scientific sessions, while the Head of the Pharmaceutics Branch, Asst. Prof. Dr. Qasim Alawi Badr, served on the research poster evaluation committee, contributing to scientific engagement and the recognition of distinguished pharmaceutical research.

The conference featured specialised scientific sessions addressing the latest developments in clinical pharmacy, modern pharmaceutical technologies, drug delivery systems, and applied pharmaceutical research, alongside panel discussions on employment opportunities for pharmacy graduates in the private sector and ways and means to support their professional environment.

This distinguished scientific participation highlights the leading role of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University in advancing pharmaceutical education, developing scientific research, and building academic and professional partnerships at both national and international levels, affirming the Faculty’s commitment to sustaining academic excellence and enhancing graduate competencies in service of the healthcare sector in Iraq.
