Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, and in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, the College organized a scientific workshop titled “The Matrix Model in Entity Resolution,” delivered by Lecturer Dr. Owaad Kazem Abdul Hassan at Al-Siddiqah Hall, with the attendance of academic and administrative staff as well as a number of students.

The workshop addressed the mechanisms of using the evaluation matrix as an effective tool for improving entity matching outcomes when dealing with unstructured references. The lecturer presented an advanced analytical methodology that enables researchers to achieve higher accuracy in entity alignment, thereby enhancing data quality and strengthening the reliability of outputs in practical applications.

The session also introduced a scientific proposal aimed at further developing the evaluation matrix approach, while opening the floor for discussion among participants to explore new research questions that could improve model performance and expand its potential applications. This reflects the college’s orientation toward supporting applied scientific research and keeping pace with digital transformation requirements.
