In a scene imbued with sentiments of sorrow and loyalty, the second-year students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering observed a moment of silence in tribute to the martyr, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified), in remembrance of his leadership journey and positions that marked a significant turning point in regional dynamics and the causes of the Ummah.
The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiba Jabar Al-Aqabi, who briefly emphasized that honoring leadership figures cannot be confined to a moment of silence, but is rather embodied in reinforcing the values and principles they upheld, and in transforming grief into awareness and academic as well as national responsibility.
The activity included the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an for the soul of the martyr (may Allah grant him mercy) and the screening of a video highlighting his life and legacy, in an atmosphere marked by reverence and deep mourning.
