Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahiyya, the Department of Arabic Language held a scientific course titled “Supplications in the Holy Qur’an.” The course was delivered by the lecturer, Sheikh Dr. Hussein Al-Nasrawi, who discussed the importance of supplication in the life of a believer as a profound spiritual connection between the servant and God, in addition to the significant intellectual, cognitive, and educational meanings it carries.
During the course, the lecturer explained that the Holy Qur’an includes more than fifty supplications, many of which are mentioned on the tongues of the prophets (peace be upon them). He highlighted the faith-based and educational implications of these supplications and their role in shaping the character of a faithful individual.
Dr. Al-Nasrawi also presented several important examples of Qur’anic supplications that are vital in the life of a believer, explaining their key cognitive and educational dimensions and their role in strengthening religious awareness and reinforcing faith-based values.
