The College of Engineering and Information Technology participated in the central Ramadan event held by Al-Zahraa University for Women, under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Al-Husseiniya Shrine and under the supervision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani. The event coincided with the blessed Nights of Qadr and the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib.
The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, along with faculty members, administrative staff, and students from all departments and academic stages.
The program included a faith-based lecture delivered by the Head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Holy Al-Husseiniya Shrine, His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi. In his lecture, he highlighted the spiritual significance of the holy month of Ramadan and the profound meanings of the Nights of Qadr, drawing from the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) values that embody justice, faith, and piety in both individual and societal life.
The event also featured the performance of congregational prayer led by Sheikh Al-Safi, as well as the recitation of a complete Qur’anic reading dedicated to the soul of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Al-Hussein Al- Khamanaii (may his soul rest in peace) and to the martyrs of truth. The atmosphere reflected a deep connection to religious and humanitarian values within the university community.
