Within the activities of the fourth edition of the “Ayn Al-Hayat” Festival, in the “Inspiring Story” segment, the College of Engineering and Information Technology made a notable contribution through the participation of student Simaa Al-Mu’min Rahim, a third-year student in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, who presented her inspiring humanitarian and academic experience before the audience.
During her presentation, the student highlighted her initiative of delivering training courses in artificial intelligence and computer skills for orphans. These programs were carefully designed to empower them academically and technically, enabling their transition from a state of need to active productivity and meaningful participation in society. The training focused on developing their technical competencies, strengthening self-confidence, and fostering initiative and ambition, based on the firm belief that human empowerment is as essential as academic qualification.
The student emphasized that supporting orphans is not merely a voluntary activity, but an ethical responsibility and a humanitarian mission. She expressed her commitment to nurturing them educationally and socially, presenting them to society as inspiring models capable of contribution and impact. This participation reflected a distinguished image of the female students of the College of Engineering at Al-Zahraa University for Women, who combine academic excellence with humanitarian commitment, embodying the university’s role in building individuals and fostering hope.
The student was honored by the Al-Qabas Foundation for Culture and Development.
