Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, and in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, the College organized a scientific workshop titled “You Are the Future… An Introduction to Electronics,” delivered by the Rapporteur of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Lecturer Zahraa Shihab. The initiative reflects the College’s commitment to developing the scientific and technical capabilities of its students.
The workshop covered the fundamentals of electronics, explaining the concept of electronic circuits and how they function, while introducing their key components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors. It also included practical training on circuit reading and the use of a multimeter, in addition to presenting simplified hands-on applications that help bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world practice.
The workshop witnessed remarkable engagement from students through scientific discussions and questions, which enhanced their understanding and encouraged deeper exploration of this vital field. This initiative comes as part of the department’s efforts to support training activities that contribute to preparing a new generation of engineers capable of keeping pace with technological advancements and building a promising professional future.
