Awareness Campaign to Promote Safe and Early Blood Pressure Screening
The College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women organized an awareness campaign at Sana Al-Warith School for Girls. The initiative focused on enhancing health awareness among students, specifically regarding safe blood pressure monitoring, prevention methods, and treatment.
The campaign was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, and supervised by the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, Dr. Asmaa Abdul-Aziz, as part of a series of educational activities conducted by the college to spread health culture within the community.
The event included simplified guidance on the importance of periodic blood pressure measurement and demonstrations of correct screening methods. Additionally, it aimed to educate students on the risks of health negligence and the vital role of early detection in preventing health complications.
Through these initiatives, the College of Pharmacy seeks to solidify its role in community service by transferring health knowledge to various segments of society, with a particular focus on those in most need of continuous healthcare and awareness.
