Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahiya, the Head of the University Psychological Counseling Division, Dr. Naserin Ali Al-Jilawi, delivered an awareness and guidance workshop for first-year students of the Mathematics Department at the College of Education, entitled “Hope Makes Life… Confronting Suicidal Thoughts.”

The workshop addressed several awareness-focused themes aimed at highlighting the dangers of suicidal thoughts, emphasizing the importance of hope in building a meaningful life, and exploring the underlying psychological, social, and cultural factors that may lead to such thoughts. It also discussed how to identify warning signs associated with them.

The session witnessed active participation from students through questions and discussions, in addition to an interactive activity that contributed to enhancing their psychological awareness and developing their ability to deal with such sensitive issues with understanding and responsibility.
