Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahiyya, the Psychological Guidance Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Special Education at the College of Education, organized an awareness workshop entitled: “Social Values and Ethical Conduct Among University Students.”

The workshop was delivered by lecturer in the Department of Special Education, Asst. Lect. Zahraa Khudair Abbas, with the participation of students from various academic disciplines, in an academic atmosphere aimed at fostering educational and ethical development within the university environment.

The workshop shed light on the importance of social values as a guiding framework for shaping the behavior of university students, emphasizing their role in regulating conduct both inside and outside the campus. It also highlighted that ethics are not merely theoretical concepts, but daily practices reflected in respect, responsibility, discipline, and constructive interaction with others.

Furthermore, the sessions addressed key themes such as transforming values into practical behavior, strengthening social responsibility, and promoting academic integrity. The discussion also emphasized the role of ethical conduct in building a balanced student personality capable of positive influence within society.

The workshop concluded by affirming that such academic and educational activities are part of the university’s broader vision to prepare a generation that combines scientific excellence with moral integrity, contributing effectively to the development of society.
