Under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahia, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the College of Education / Department of Special Education and the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Equality Between Men and Women,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Ruqaya Ali Shabout.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the concept of gender equality from both scientific and educational perspectives, emphasizing its importance in building a balanced society based on justice and mutual respect. It also addressed key challenges facing the realization of this principle, while proposing practical approaches to تعزيز community awareness and promote human values.

The workshop witnessed notable attendance and active engagement from female staff and students, with fruitful discussions that enriched the session’s themes and contributed to a deeper shared understanding of the role of equality in supporting sustainable development.

This activity comes as a series of scientific and awareness initiatives aimed at empowering women and strengthening their active role in society.
