Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women (PBUH), Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Structure of Pharmaceutical Industries and the Role of Each Department.” The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Asmaa Abdul Aziz and targeted the faculty members of the college.
This workshop was held as part of the college’s commitment to strengthening a solid academic environment and expanding the knowledge horizons of faculty members regarding the practical aspects related to pharmaceutical industries. It aimed to enhance scientific and professional performance and to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in modern pharmaceutical institutions.
The workshop addressed the organizational structure of pharmaceutical industries and explained the functions of their various departments, starting from production and quality control departments to research and development, marketing, and administration. It also highlighted the importance of integration among these departments to ensure the production of safe and effective medicines in accordance with internationally approved standards.
The workshop witnessed remarkable engagement from the attendees, who praised the significance of the topic and the richness of the information presented. They emphasized that such scientific activities represent an effective step toward promoting a culture of continuous development and improving academic and professional standards in line with the university’s vision and academic mission.
