Faculty of Education Lecturer Participates in Symposium on the Prophetic Biography at Al-Abbas Holy Shrine

Dr. Sheikh Hussein Al-Nasrawi, a lecturer at the Faculty of Education at Al-Zahraa University for Women, participated in the seasonal symposium organized by Dar Al-Rasool Al-A’dham (PBUH), affiliated with the Intellectual Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, which focused on the noble Prophetic biography.

Dr. Al-Nasrawi presented a scholarly paper entitled “The Prophethood of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) Before His Mission,” in which he discussed a number of historical and narrational evidences indicating that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) possessed the status of prophethood prior to his blessed mission, while reviewing several narrations and texts related to this subject.

The paper discussed well-known narrations concerning the beginning of revelation, including the hadith: “I was a Prophet while Adam was between the soul and the body,” in addition to Imam Ali’s (peace be upon him) statement in the Al-Qasi‘ah Sermon. The research also examined the Prophet’s adherence to divine legislation before the mission and argued that his superiority necessitated that he followed a divinely ordained law specific to him rather than the laws of previous prophets.

Furthermore, the researcher presented three major scholarly objections related to the topic and provided comprehensive responses during the symposium.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Al-Nasrawi was honored by Sayid Laith Al-Mosawwi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, in recognition of his academic contribution and distinguished participation.
