Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology Participates in the Opening of the Faculty of Family Sciences at Al-Zahra University in Tehran

The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaida Abdul-Hussein Al-Mulla, participated as part of the delegation of Al-Zahra University for Women, headed by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, in the opening ceremony of the Faculty of Family Sciences at Al-Zahra University in Tehran. The ceremony was held at the invitation of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Zahra Nazem-Bekaei, and was attended by Dr. Vahid Shalchi, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology for Cultural and Social Affairs in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The participation comes within the framework of activating the provisions of the agreement concluded between the two universities, enhancing academic and scientific cooperation, and exchanging expertise and experiences in areas of mutual interest, particularly family and social affairs. It also provided an opportunity to learn about specialized academic experiences and scientific and research programs related to this field.

The opening ceremony featured an introduction to the objectives and academic disciplines of the Faculty of Family Sciences, which focuses on preparing specialized female professionals in the fields of family and social affairs and developing relevant studies and research. This contributes to strengthening the role of academic institutions in studying and addressing family and social challenges.

The participation of the Dean reflects Al-Zahra University for Women’s commitment to expanding the horizons of academic and scientific cooperation and benefiting from specialized university experiences. It also supports the development of scientific and research programs and opens new avenues for knowledge and expertise exchange among academic institutions.
