Dean of Engineering Participates in Discussing Prospects for Scientific and Research Cooperation with Iran’s Royan Institute

The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaida Abdul-Hussein Al-Mulla, participated in a meeting between the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH), Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and the Director of the Royan Institute for Scientific Research in Tehran, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Shahverdi, to discuss prospects for scientific and research cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of a number of officials and specialists.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Royan Institute as part of efforts to activate the provisions of the agreement concluded between Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) and the Institute. The discussions focused on opportunities to develop academic and research cooperation, exchange expertise, and implement joint scientific projects, particularly in the fields of stem cells, regenerative medicine, reproductive medicine, and infertility treatment. The two sides also discussed mechanisms for coordination and the development of joint research programs and projects in areas of mutual interest.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Dean participated in the scientific tour conducted by the university delegation to a number of departments and research centers affiliated with the Royan Institute. The tour provided an opportunity to explore its laboratories, scientific and technological capabilities, as well as its leading research projects and activities in biomedical sciences and modern technologies.

The meeting also addressed preparations for the Fifth International WANA Conference, which is scheduled to be hosted by the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH). Discussions covered the conference’s scientific and organizational themes, as well as opportunities for participation and coordination among academic and research institutions, in a manner that strengthens Al-Zahraa University’s (PBUH) presence in international scientific cooperation initiatives.
