The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology continues its specialised training course on KNX technologies, led by Engineer Ahmed Al-Hariri, through practical applications simulating smart automation solutions in the university environment. One of the lectures featured a hands-on application using a Demo Case, during which a control screen was programmed to allow the user to fully manage the air-conditioning system in the college's friendly hall via the screen, including controlling the central cooling system, even though the air-conditioning units in the hall are not Smart devices. The application highlights one of the practical capabilities of the KNX system, namely integrating smart control systems with existing traditional equipment and systems, turning them into a centrally controllable and monitorable system, giving the trainees direct practical experience in using building automation technologies to meet real needs within university facilities.
