The Department of Art Education at the College of Education, Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women, achieved a remarkable artistic accomplishment as a painting by second-year student Noor al-Huda Ibrahim Shaker won third place at the Iraqi Universities Fine Arts Festival, held at the University of Baghdad with the participation of 70 public and private universities from across Iraq.
This achievement is particularly significant given the competition with students specializing in Fine Arts, reflecting the artistic talent and creativity of the Department of Art Education’s students and their ability to compete and secure leading positions in university-level artistic events.
The college’s participation was supported by faculty members from the Department of Art Education, who accompanied the students throughout the four-day festival, providing continuous supervision and guidance to ensure their successful participation.
This accomplishment reflects the ongoing support of the President of Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and her commitment to nurturing students’ artistic talents and developing their creative abilities. It also highlights the dedicated efforts of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahiya, in overseeing the college’s departments and providing the necessary support to foster students’ talents and enhance their skills.
This achievement marks another milestone in the College of Education’s record of success and underscores its commitment to discovering and developing students’ creative potential, further strengthening the university’s presence and distinction in academic and artistic events at the national level.
