The Department of Anaesthesia at the Faculty of Medical Technologies organised a training workshop entitled “Cardiac Reflexes.”

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lect. Sumaya J'afar Abbas who shed light on a general introduction to the electromagnetic spectrum, its various types, and their potential effects on human health. The presentation highlighted different ranges of electromagnetic radiation and explained that exposure to high levels of electromagnetic radiation may have adverse health effects.

The workshop also addressed the significant increase in the number of devices emitting non-ionising radiation across various sectors of society during the last quarter of the twentieth century. This development has contributed to growing health concerns among researchers and medical professionals, as well as increased attention from governmental bodies in developing safety regulations and standards.
