Al-Zahraa University for Women through its Central Library Department has launched a distinctive digital initiative with the establishment of the University’s Digital Library, developed in accordance with advanced technological and software specifications.

The project employs modern digital systems to facilitate access to scientific resources and research materials, streamline library services, and support female students in pursuing their academic and research activities more effectively.

The Digital Library was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, during his visit to the University campus. The inauguration was attended by His Eminence Al-Sheikh Abd Al-Mahdi Al-Karbala'i, Legitimate Overseer of the Affairs of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine; Al-Hajj Hassan Rashid Al-Abayechi, Secretary-General of the Shrine; Al-Hajj Fadhel Awz, and Dr. Ala' Dia' Al-Din, Deputy Secretary-General. Along with Dr. Sattar Al-Sa'adi, President of the Health and University Education Authority; and Prof. Dr. Zainab Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, in addition to a number of academic and administrative staff members within the campus.

It is worth mentioning that the project aims to enhance the digital competencies of female students while connecting the University Library to reputable international digital repositories and library databases from around the world.
