According to an intensive training curriculum developed by the Department of Mathematics within the College of Education at the university in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education to establish a number of scientific concepts within the prescribed educational curriculum, the Department of Mathematics launched an interactive workshop with a number of students and teaching staff entitled “Segmentation of Images by Finding a Solution to a Partial Differential Equation” the lecture regarding the respective topic was carried by Dr. Karrar Kadhim Abbas it included an important demonstration and application in the segmentation of images.
The scientific symposium also witnessed how to use mathematics to solve a package of challenges and other problems that stand in the way of other fields, including the techniques of using modern programming and computers.
