A delegation from the Department of Student Activities at Al-Zahraa University for Women participated in the Inter-University Poetry Festival, hosted by Ahl Al-Bayt University in Karbala. The festival commenced on 26 February 2023 and continued for five days, concluding on 2 March 2023.

The delegation attended the opening ceremony as well as the second and third days of the festival. The delegation comprised Jinan Al-Wazzani, Director of the Department of Student Activities, together with Ruba Jawad and Noor Abdullah. Additionally, Al-Zahraa University for Women was represented by Ayat Haider Abd Ali, a female student from the Faculty of Education, Department of English Language, who delivered a poetic recital as part and parcel of the competition.

The festival is a ministerial competition organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, with the participation of 53 Universities from across Iraq.
