To ensure the quality of the services provided and to provide a safe environment, Al-Zahraa University for Women is uniquely using the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor the performance of its buildings and departments. The Director of the Diwan Affairs Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, Eng. Hassan Kadem Nima, said that: “The Building Management System (BMS) is an advanced and modern program that monitors the building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as lighting, ventilation, fire, energy and protection systems”. Eng. Hassan Kadem Nima explained that the system is to control and control many devices within the university buildings, including central heating and cooling devices, pumps of various kinds, and lighting systems in various parts of the building in addition to water control systems, whether warm or cold water, and irrigation systems for gardens. Eng. Hassan Kadem Nima stressed the importance of the building management system at the university by saving energy by up to 40% of the energy consumed, in which, it has the ability to control all systems within the buildings and departments of the university, in which, it leads to provide that reach high rates of reducing consumption in addition to provide time periods, significant reduction of monitoring efforts, as it automatically performs during issuance of orders and performance monitoring.
